Looking back on 2015...

Looking back on 2015...

A nice step towards the international!  Let's go beyond the borders!

2015 was a year of international openness, beautiful surprises, new human contacts, enriching learning, teamwork, associations and several overseas trips.

At the end of 2014 and the beginning of 2015 we scattered several seeds of creation that materialized one by one into experiences during the year.

Here's our 2015 year in review in a nutshell:

January 2015: The Art au Poil school was invited to deliver its zoocosmetology ZAP certification in France during 2 sessions.

HERE is a testimonial extract from these sessions in France (french only):

February-March 2015: Heading to Java and Bali in Indonesia for a journey of meditation, photography, learning energy healing techniques.

March 2015: L'Art au Poil had the chance to train animals in a zoo with evolutionary practices in England under the supervision of Chirag Patel and Tim Sullivan in addition to giving TCAP Dogs behavioral grooming sessions in Quebec.

April 2015: The Art au Poil school was again invited to deliver its TCAP behavioral grooming knowledge in France during 2 sessions.

The school has also given certification sessions in behavioral grooming TCAP and also in Zoocosmetology ZAP in Quebec.

May 2015: We had the chance to attend a workshop with the famous photographer Meg Bitton in New York (USA) and then attend a 3-day private hands-on training with the renowned multiple champion and international grooming judge Olga Zabelinskaya at her salon in New Jersey (USA).

At the end of May, L'Art au Poil welcomed multiple French grooming champion Karine Delpy to deliver a 6-day practical workshop to former L'Art au Poil students.

June 2015: The Art au Poil school gave certification sessions in dog behavioral grooming TCAP and also in TCAP for Cats in Quebec and then went to follow its 3rd workshop with the famous trainer Bob Bailey in Maryland in Connecticut.

July 2015: We crossed the continent again to attend 1 week of private training with European champion Karine Delpy in France.

Upon his return from France, l'Art au Poil gave his unique concept workshop on the grooming of multiple head models on multiple breeds ("Faites tourner toutes les têtes en tête à tête avec l'Art au Poil") in addition to certification sessions in behavioral grooming TCAP practical Dogs and Cats in Quebec.

August 2015: L'Art au Poil participated in the 2-day seminar on fearful dogs, counter-conditioning and desensitization with Debbie Jacobs of Fearfuldogs in Quebec and then gave numerous certifications in TCAP Dog and Cat Behavioral Grooming and then Zoocosmetology in Quebec.

Here is a testimonial video on TCAP (french only):

September 2015: The school was invited to deliver its TCAP behavioral grooming certification in St-Lô, Normandy at the renowned International Grooming Show organized by Nathalie Ariey Jouglard

A video testimony shot in St-Lô (french only):

October 2015: L'Art au Poil was asked to judge the ingenious contest "The Groomer's Game" as part of the Grooming Camp organized by Yvan Besner and again delivered its ZAP certification in zoocosmetology in Quebec. We also had the chance to attend Alexandra Kurland's seminar on clicker training for horses at Cavalia's stables in Quebec. We were also allowed to do a photo shoot of Cavalia's retired horses. It was a great privilege.

November-December 2015: We spent our time training future entrepreneurial stylist-weavers in addition to sharing the good news of TCAP behavioral grooming as well as the ZAP certification in zoocosmetology in Quebec.

Looking back, our 2015 was a very full year. I now understand why we needed a lot of rest in early January 2016. Hours of sleep were essential to recover.

Bye Bye 2015 and thanks for all the great experiences!

But above all, thank you all for being there and for making this sharing possible.

What about 2016?

We're off to another great start with a new session of stylist-groomer in mid-January 2016.
