TCAP EXPERT PRACTICAL 1 - expert behavioral grooming for dogs

Good news, we've designed a new TCAP expert training course! Take your TCAP training skills to the next level by practicing the following "consent behaviors" with us:
- Chin rest
- Side lying
- Clown fish
- Bucket game
- Fist focus
- Putting muzzle in object
You're already familiar with the consent behaviors of the CARPET GAME, FIX GAME. These confirm whether or not the dog is ready to work. The new consent behaviors you'll be taught are fantastic for creating clear communication between you and the dog to confirm his agreement to receive a specific treatment. For example, the chin in the hand can be used, among other things, to trim the dog's toupee. If the dog responds to the invitation to put his chin in the hand and stays there while we approach our scissors, he's comfortable. If the dog withdraws his chin, he's communicating that he's unsure of the situation.
This type of training puts the dog in control of the situation and helps him become even more confident about receiving his TCAP grooming care.
You'll also learn how to integrate play into your practice, so that your dog is even more motivated to work with you!
Finally, we'll be able to see together how to train the SCRATCH BOARD quickly and easily so that the dog files his own nails with his front AND back paws!

Prerequisites: Completion of TCAP 1 and TCAP 2
